Known for intense and colourful interiors

Penny Graham studied at the Chelsea School of Art and has attended Maggi Hambling's life classes for the last 20 years. She is known for her intense and colourful interiors, capturing everything from grand historic rooms to small, idiosyncratic spaces.

Her talent lies in conveying the spirit of a place, often working in gouache and ink to capture a whole room or just a single corner. She also paints exterior views and figurative works in oil, developed from photographs and memories.

Penny's work is held in private collections across the UK, France, Italy and the USA, and she has been commissioned by leading interior decorators.
